Every once in a while...my old fashioned service officer work gets little hard...just finished the hardest job i have as service officer...suicide intervention.....a vietnam boy had shot couple holes in his roof with his .45...i could hear the family screaming on the phone...and the gunshots...i suggested they call the police...but they were afraid the police would kill him or he might shoot the police...when i arrived...he was backed up in a dark room...filled with cordide and smoke...with loaded .45...and a ptsd rage... I talked out of his old pistol...left him ok and in the arms of his family and doctors....i dont know if its my nerves...or time...but...every once in while i wish my old fashioned service officer ..teachers and mentors..had not all died...its times like these....i could sure use them...to lean on....oh well...robert landreth..full blood chicksaw world war two and chosin korea marine....my greatest teacher...told me ...it aint easy..in an old fashioned service officer ditch...oh well.
