Every once in a while, we get the post or message that someone is leaving the page or doesnt like that we post related to injured, ill, dying or recently departed dogs... Here is my most recent answer. And, as I always say.... Its a better day tomorrow. But today, we grieve..... George, we have been a very close-knit and strong community that supports one another in times of need. Whenever we post that someone needs prayers, support or is heading to the bridge, our fans respond immediately and usually between 500-1000 people come to encourage, share, pray and just show that they are there for one another. We are a rescue that also provides hospice services for homeless dogs and at times we have lost one dog a week for 6 consecutive weeks, despite our best efforts. We share in the good times and the bad. We do not feel we should hide the bad, pretend it doesnt exist or ignore it because it hurts. It f*cking hurts, it hurts right now. Its awful, but guess what, thats part of it. And to have a community behind us and one another is a glorious and heartwarming thing. To celebrate the wonderful things about our lives with these loving animals and to share in tragedy and loss and in the memory of their lives. To us, its selfish to not help one another in times of need or to reflect on loss and remember the blessings. If that is not for you, I understand and you are welcome to come or go. There are 1000s probably hundreds of thousands of dog pages that tiptoe around. We dont. Dogs die and we grieve... Together.
