Every once in a while you will hear a song that you think, “That is my story.” This is such a song. I had Pandora playing here in my office and this song came on and it brought me to tears. I had to go shut my office door and get on my knees and just thank my God how amazing he has been throughout my life. When I wrote my book a couple years ago I had just spent 5 consecutive says in the presence of God. Each day I simply sat, listened and wrote as He brought to my remembrance events from my life, many of which I had forgotten long ago. What the Lord was showing me was how He had ALWAYS been with me. You see, we had just lost our youngest son the year before and at the time I thought God was simply showing me how I could trust Him to get me though that trial, just like He had always helped me in the past. Little did I know that many more storms were on the way. So when Janice was first diagnosed with cancer we were spiritually prepared and knew EXACTLY what to do. We immediately placed our faith in THE GIVER OF LIFE, and have trusted Him every step of the way. You see, just like this song says: Never once did we ever walk alone Never once did You leave us on our own You are faithful, God, You are faithful I didn’t write my book to sell a million copies. In fact, as far as I know, the only ones that were ordered were those of friends who wanted a signed copy from me right after it was published. Shortly after I made it available to be read for free because I wanted the world to know how amazingly faithful our God is. And my follow-up book is essentially writing itself as I post here in Facebook each time the Lord helps us conqueror another battle. I know there are people who prefer to keep their lives private, but I am not one of them. I choose to make my life an open book because I place my trust in the One who I know is with us. Hebrews 13:5 says, “God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake.” You see, that’s a promise I can trust in. And Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” You see, God has us securely in His hands, and we have NOTHING to fear. Then Psalm 18:2 says, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” And I could go on and on. That is why I love God’s Word; it is full of promises and reminders that we serve a MIGHTY GOD who wants NOTHING but the best for his children. So fear not! No matter what we are facing, let’s place our trust in our God, and watch in amazement as He shows us ALL just how amazingly faithful He truly is! Want proof?
