Every single occupying power, in the illusion of its permanence, has sought to further that illusion for some more time by fostering the differences within the land and people it occupies. How many dead, tortured, maimed, raped, jailed do we have to count? And we, some of us, want to burn each other’s house down! We hang our heads in shame.
