Every so often I get bored and check the spam folder for my email account. Ive noticed an uptick of the number of fake E pass or EZpass scams. They claim you have driven on toll roads and are in arrears on payment and ask for same while threatening all kinds of action against you. There have also been scams going around north Texas where someone calls and says they have a warrant for missing jury duty accompanied of course with instructions on how to pay immediately to avoid legal trouble. Dont fall for these scams. If you actually owe money to a tollway authority or have a warrant or other issue with a governmental agency be assured they will send a notice to you via snail mail, never a threatening email or phone call.
