Every so often, you encounter something special. It doesnt always hit you right away. It takes time. You enjoy it when and while it happens because you understand that its different from anything else. These incidents happen to most people, and some see them as what they are, and some shrug them off. But you should call it what it is, and accept it for what it is: an adventure. A life-changing event. A journey. I place an infinite amount of value in these types of things, because Ive looked back on times in retrospect and realized what they were too late, and they were out of my reach forever because I couldnt see them when they happened. So I keep my eyes open - almost to a fault - looking for these moments, these special opportunities, and when I find them, I exist in them wholeheartedly until theyre over. I immerse myself fully in them until they pass. I dont obsess over when theyll end or when theyll happen again. I enjoy them while they last, because I understand their importance. And I can revisit them with crystal clarity because of it, because I realized then what it meant to be alive, when most times I forget.
