Every song of mine has meaning no matter how hardcore or you name it .Thats especially true with Fan favorite Malikai- Trials of a youngsta https://soundcloud/malikai/trials Read the story behind the song Trials of a Youngsta is a song based on a series of true stories that deals with many of the overlooked struggles youth face .Also it dives deep into many struggles I faced personally .In the earliest stages of my career I performed to raise money for many charities.At one particular charity for abused women and children I met a young girl that was around 13-14 years old who at the time was pregnant and she was addicted to every drug Imaginable .When I first game to help the organization get funds I would always talk to her about her struggles and my story to let her know she is not alone and the counselors told me that she was once quiet and with-drawn from everyone and after I came and talked to her she truly began to come out of her Self hating shell. I wrote Trial of a youngsta and I promised her when I make it I want her to see the video and see herself and in the song she dies because I seen she would if she continue with the life she was living ...then out of nowhere the Next year I get a call telling me hey Malikai you know that girl from the Org? I said yes and he says she was found dead in a Abandon building and even to this day I get furious and emotional I wish I was bigger then.. to help get her better help. she was so sweet Thats why I say no star out here got me they have no clue what I am Fighting for .They have no clue why Im going to be successful . The Next Verse talks about my friend who was killed cuz he didnt want to join a gang so they beat him to death and the Last verse deals with all of my generation that the world seems to call LOST when really its not OUR FAULT. ] Become a fan #Rebel and together we will take over!!!
