Every time I do an upgrade to a new Operating System I pull my teeth out during my learning curve. When I bought my new computer with Windows 8 I became toothless. The format is challenging enough, have I mentioned I’m over 30? And then Windows tells the world “no worries download Windows 8.1 and you’ll get a start button and some fairy dust and everything will be O.K.”. What did I get? More problems, my wireless keeps showing problems, Yahoo hates 8.1 and did I mention IE11 and Window 8.1 aren’t compatible with my HP in printing from certain websites? Now SkyDrive’s auto sync and as Greg Shield says in an article in Redmond magazine “Microsoft’s decision to have SkyDrive’s auto sync functions enabled as default and the lack of sync customization could lead t major headaches for IT.” Yes, we are IT but what about headaches for the ‘regular’ guy! A word of advice, when you start having problems…Google it!
