Every time I experience one of those moments with Bowen, like him holding my ear, I am reminded of the hundreds of you who prayed during those dark days that I would get to feel my sons touch again. This morning I woke up to him smiling at his nurse as he watched her outside his window. As soon as he saw me I heard him scream, although it was not quite a whisper, well mostly lip reading, Daddy! Tell me a story! Thank you so much for your faithfulness to pray for my son. I now owe a debt to you that I could never repay. Bowens specific needs as he moves into the rehabilitation stage in his care is that his lungs will completely heal. We were told yesterday this could take weeks. He still has to have the ventilator to support his breathing. Also pray for his physical strength. Being paralyzed for 3 weeks took a toll on his body. Just sitting upright without assistance is an impossible task right now. Pray for his GI issues, we may be a step closer to a transplant now. And finally pray for his mother. I have to leave them today to prepare for a work and school week and honestly I feel sick just thinking about the moment I have to walk out of his room. Even though I will be back tomorrow, my heart is here with him and my amazing bride. Pray for her health, strength, emotions, and encourage her when you can. So my prayer list remains lengthy, but I have learned that when we agree together the Lord moves. Thank you all. I love you. - Michael
