Every time an innocent black man or woman gets killed by police - TopicsExpress

Every time an innocent black man or woman gets killed by police thugs, some of us protest in the location where the cold blood murder occurred and then we all go home and wait until it happens again in another city. Its time we put an end to such racist killings that happen regularly and resemble the killings of Palestinians in the hands of racist Israeli occupation forces. What we need is large, persistent, protracted and militant demonstrations in every city, in solidarity with the community that protests the murder. Isolated protests without building a network of solidarity that would continue the struggle, wont change anything. We need to understand that those so-called black leaders who come and give some speech and then tell people to remain calm and go home and that justice will be served, and who shamelessly and cowardly stand and defend apartheid Israel while its committing genocide against the defenseless and oppressed Palestinian people, are not part of the solution, but are part of the problem. All theyre concerned about is to win the approval of the President, who is diligently serving the super wealthy and couldnt care less about the poor or people of color, or theyre concerned about keeping their job in Congress or a TV show. The fact is we havent had honest and revolutionary leaders who have the courage and integrity to speak the truth and lay it all on the line for social and economic justice since Dr. King and Malcolm X. But, just as thousands like Rosa Park and others struggled before the movement took off, we need to discard treasonous and hypocritical leaders and create the kind of movement that will put an end to such ongoing injustice, leaders who will put justice for people above their political ambition or the privilege to have a show on MSNBC. Since these leaders wont march with us, we need to toss them aside and march on our own.
