Every year Eric and I spend Christmas Day cooking while the kids enjoy playing with their gifts. Here is the menu Ive devised for the day ... Red wine braised oxtail with saffron curry and red potatoes. Jumbo grilled octopus with fresh made harissa, parsley oil and grilled pineapple. Shrimp and fish cevichi. Orzo pasta with fresh raw garbanzo beans, persimmons, tangerine juice and zest, parsley, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, herbs and EVOO. I also picked up some dried chorizo and will be doing something eggie with that for breakfast. Tomorrow morning I am picking up our tamales we preordered from Northgate Market we will be enjoying those for lunch will my guacamole.
