Every year, European companies create tax frauds worth 1000 billion Euros. The figure comes from a series of long running investigations by tax fraud fighters and the Transparency International. Studies show French multi-national giants like Total and Peugeot and banks like BNP have set up more than 4000 subsidiaries in tax havens like Monaco and Luxembourg. French companies operating in Africa have also come under scrutiny.
