Every year I struggle with posting this status and usually decide against it, but for my own sanity im Posting it this year. I realize that many people are unaware, but it is pretty insulting to ask me for a free ticket to the Gentlemens Ball. In all actuality, you are really asking for me to buy you a ticket. We pay the venue for every person that walks through the door. This is not like some events where we pay a flat fee to the venue and just pack the house out with as many as people as possible. We have to account for each persons meal and drinks, Not to mention the production & entertainment cost associated with an event of this magnitude. Oh yea, and this is a FUNDRAISER! Trust me when I tell you, we are not running to the bank on Monday morning to cash paychecks. Everyone involved in this event, even Juan & I, are VOLUNTEERING their time for this event because they believe in the cause...And many of them are still donating money (SO THANKFUL)!
