Every year about this time, My Dad(the infamous MS Delta character, R.T. May) would buy a Claxton Fruitcake for the Holidays. We would eat one slice and then wrap it up in triple tin foil and use it as a door stop. After several years of aging, he would use the Claxton doorstops as brick replacements in the BBQ pit. It always added a nice, sweet, fruity, cherry flavour to the meat. My Dad was fascinated with Redneck Science and argued vehemently (with anyone) that the a Claxton Friutcake/doorstop/brick had a nuclear half-life of 4336 years. He always spoke with such great authority on these matters. Looking back, I have no reason not to believe him...
