Every year for nine years Northport has this event. We have normally gone downtown for their annual tree lighting, caroling& Santa parade, but decided to try something different and planned on going to this. They play A Christmas Story, the movie, up on a big screen and the Northport Tigers do a Rockettes style dance (which we were to far back to see) to the sound of Christmas music played by a small group of Northport High School band members. We were able to hear it and it was quite festive. We arrived early and enjoyed wine and tapas & also ordered soda and desert for the kids at Northports new Wine Cellar (Bar). Afterwards, we joined the large crowd outside for the main event explained above and....TADA! The leg was illuminated. LMAO! Ha ha ha! :-D WEEEEEE! Lol! Nice kick off to another Christmas. :-D
