I have no issue with mourning the dead, and worldwide events which killed so many could certainly be used as reason to never do that again. Unfortunately, this gets twisted to demonization of the other side and as justification for more wars to defend freedom, whatever that means. Instead I invite you to consider those who went far beyond what was asked of them. Folks who risked their own lives to save others against incredible odds, or those who put compassion and honour before their orders.
