Every year we have our charity caroling, when we give away packs of rice, canned goods, and bihon noodles to families who may not have anything on their table on Christmas eve. We sung CHRISTmas carols and worship songs to the poor families uphill who are never serenaded this season. We also gave out tracts and calendars. Many of them attempted to give us money despite their situation, but we dont come to be paid for singing - we came to share the love of Jesus, we give them gifts instead of receiving the money. Two ladies with their kids from downhill went along with us uphill and enjoyed the caroling. The whole SHCC barangay with many first timers such as the kids enjoyed singing, fellowship, and gift-giving. Going up and down the hills at the dark carrying packs of rice is sure both a pain to the arms and legs, but it is nothing compared to the different kind of joy in our hearts as we all went home blessed.
