Everybody seems to be wanting a 1D barrel horse. Not me after I rode a true to the true 1D, state champ, hard core free running 1D gelding that belonged to a weekend rodeo/IBRA warrior. She asked if I wanted to run him one day while practicing, nobody was around so sure why not. Heh. After I ran the pattern my first thought was so glad he stopped...eventually, she asked me how I like him...she had to wait a sec for my lungs was still coming around the third barrel. I laughed when I noticed as I was stepping off I was shaking and looked like someone going cold turkey off Meth. My equilibrium was still rocking like I just rode a out of control wooden roller coaster, neck brace might of helped my seat. Then I realized I had lost my keys in the arena footing, and lastly it took me three days for me to be able to push in the clutch and turn my steering wheel of my truck without pain pills. To this day I am like I stayed on that SOB! WHOOT! I look back and would consider it being up there with sky diving (never been just guessing)...the wind warped teary eyed thundering wind past the ear drums, but I just didnt know that it at the time. This was pre marriage and kids, so to those who run a true 1D free runner, Kudos to you. I will cheer you on sitting on my 2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10D horses, lol.
