Everyday I read news articles about people being killed or maimed in Egypt, Israel, Syria, Nigeria. I read about thousands of children sent across our borders from Central America and Mexico. I read about veterans being denied health care and seniors eating cat food and children starving throughout the world. I read about Korea threatening nuclear war and China hacking our computer systems and making cheap knockoffs of American products. I read about contaminated food products and bees dying and corporate politics. Then I look to the right of my news page and see whats Trending. You know, those things that get the most clicks because people want to read more than the headlines. Thats when I get somewhat overwhelmed and really kind of shocked.
