Everyday police officers, white, black, red, yellow and everyother possible combination, walk out their doors with their families knowing they may never come back. Some are good. Some are not so good. Some have good training and good leaders. Some do not. All of them have to deal with society at its worse and that is all the time and everyday (no stress). Their job is to keep the peace. Alternative is to go back to the WildWildWest days when the biggest gun ruled the town by terror. The ones I have met when just crashing my car, or being pulled over for whatever have been unfailingly polite and professional. Maybe I am just lucky. But I am glad they go to work everyday despite all the bad publicity and negative stuff (I remember in the 60s when they were all called Pigs). It makes my world a whole lot safer. Thank you.
