Everyday something special happens here at MOMS. It starts with the reward from our primary focus - teaching music. Then we see families gather in the back yard to dance, and visit, and enjoy live music - together. The community has rallied around our humble business and we’ve started giving back through benefit concerts, which refuels the magic. People of all walks of life, music lovers, have donated their time and skills to improve the property, support our students, and open doors to amazing opportunities. The latest person to discover MOMS, and join in the cause is Oteil Burbridge, Grammy Award winning bass player for The Allman Brothers Band. Oteil has volunteered to help us provide instruction to students from area schools who otherwise might not get the encouragement every budding musician deserves. An an inner city kid from Washington, D.C., Oteil was encouraged to focus on music and stay out of trouble. He understands the influence music can have on a child’s life personally. We’re proud he’s chosen MOMS as a venue from which he’ll continue that tradition. Stay tuned for announcements about performances by Oteil and friends here at MOMS too!
