Everyday...the same story but a different case...but all have the same thing in commonThey need help...they need saving and they need love. Staff recieved a call last night from Loughrea Garda Station after a concerned lady had found a little scared girl first hiding in a garden and then running terrified on the road.This same kind lady Deirdre bought her home for the night and today arranged with us to bring her to our vets...she is very scared,dirty and may have been hit by a car.She may have an owner and we really do hope so...for this little ones sake....Our vet was away so we will have a catch up with them tomorrow and see the outcome. If nobody comes forward for her then she will get a name and a bed at Heathlawn ...lots of love and a future. But things must change...Laws must change..We are struggling every week with the amount of unwanted and abandoned dogs.Our staff are struggling daily with the workload and as a rescue we are starting to struggle finacially...there is no let up...we just cannot keep up with the constant numbers of dogs and cats who need us...This little girl may have just squeezed in to our sanctuary but what about tomorrow? Spaying/neutering would play a huge part in the ongoing problem...all we know is the problem is escalating.
