Everyday—Thanksgiving, Sunday, November 23, 2014 “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4 This week we will be celebrating “Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. It became an official Federal holiday in 1863, when, during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens,” to be celebrated on the last Thursday in November.”[i] Thanking the LORD is something we must do every day of our lives as well as with our lips.
