Everyone, Exciting news!! The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has been working with the Federal Highway Administration to receive the approval of the environmental document for the proposed route of the US 33 North Connector project from Monroe Street to Main Street in Goshen, and today that approval was granted. Now the next step is the right-of-way acquisition of the properties required to construct the project. Property owners located along the corridor will be contacted over the next few months by appraisers, which is the initial step in the right-of-way acquisition process. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2016 and will take a couple of construction seasons to complete. The City of Goshen has formed a great partnership with INDOT, and looks forward to working with them on this project.
