Everyone Succeeds Written by Allen Hooten I spoke with a dear friend of mine today and it prompted this post. I hope this gets across to everyone and the men who happen to read this, please listen. Your wife or future wife needs freedom in life. She needs encouragement, she needs a man that leads her and their family with the heart of a king, and rules with the heart of a servant. He needs to be able to offer her security without being domineering and oppressive. Its his privilege and responsibility to create, maintain and cultivate an environment, an atmosphere within the hearts of those within the home that operates from freedom. An atmosphere that everyone has the ability to create, to pursue, for each person to be led by Holy Spirit and Him. He needs to understand commitment, and not manipulate those within the family with fear, acquiring control from within a fearful atmosphere. There are always those areas in life we need to grow and those around you have those areas as well however, dont ask someone to hit a Home Run that is really struggling to just hit the ball right now. He needs to create an environment from which the fear of failure does not stop the pursuit of experiencing everything God has for those around him. Set guidelines for the home and dont waver on those guidelines. A simple example is you cant sometimes allow the puppy on the sofa and sometimes not and then correct the puppy because company is coming over and now there is hair on the sofa. The problem here is not the puppy, its the lack of consistency from the leader. Value above all the connection, the heart of the other person over whatever conflict might arise and insure in all you do they always feel loved. This is the model for not just a successful husband, or daddy its the model for a successful family and in the end its essential everyone within the home is successful.
