Everyone always talks about supporting our troops and wounded warriors, Dave and I now need 20 people to contribute $25.00 to help a wounded warrior return to Panama City, Fl (Bay County) from Seattle Washington (near Ft Lewis)..Spec HIll had $20 in his pocket yesterday and Hearts for Military Heroes wired him $100 to hold him over until we can get him on a plane by Tuesday to return home to Panama City. Please read his story below: I have personally spoken several times since Thursday with a local disabled family member of USArmy Specialist Hill age 25 (and also to Spec Hill several times) who was medically discharged from Fort Lewis Washington June, 2013 after one tour in Afghanistan and a subsequent accident with a Humvee rollover while training at Ft Irwin in 2011 for a return to Afghanistan. Specialist Hill now suffers from a spinal injury and walks with a cane as well as suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD. Unfortunately Spec Hills wife filed for divorce shortly after his discharge and he has been left living in an empty apartment, no car, and only wants to get back home to Bay County. At the time of his out processing he checked the box that he would not be leaving the Ft Lewis area because he intended on staying there with his wife. Hence, the 60 day window is now passed to obtain the allowance for travel back home. Although his VA/Army benefits have been applied for, he has yet to receive his monthly benefit.
