Everyone at Royal Liverpool Philharmonic is saddened to hear of the death of Rod Franks, London Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet of 23 years. He recently stepped down from the Principal position, though continued to play with the orchestra. Rod died following a car accident in Nottinghamshire on his way home from the Open Golf Championship in Hoylake. A wonderful musician, Rod will be sadly missed in the music world and we offer our deepest condolences to Rod’s family, friends and colleagues. lso.co.uk/rod_franks
