Everyone can remember 911 and where they were, I am sure. I was watching TV in Australia waiting for star trek to come on. That evening Id watched a documentary about what it was like in Afghanistan for women - and OMG it was awful. Next thing planes are flying into buildings in NYC and I was wondering when this movie was going to end so I could watch Star Trek. It took me a while to realize this wasnt a movie.... Next thing the US is invading Afghanistan and I thought it was good because things might finally get better in there. But from what I can tell things are no better in Afghanistan. Should we interfere when there are human rights violations? I know people in the middle east say most of what we hear is western propaganda about how they treat women. How do we know for sure how bad things are in other countries? How do we fix things when they are really bad? I was always surprised that if the US is really good at behavioural psychology (which they are, that’s how soda corporations can make you pay for and drink diluted battery acid and pay for bottled water) why dont they end terrorism with propaganda campaigns heavily laced with behavioural psychology? Of course the answer is the war on terrorism is designed to loot the american people via the govt and implement greater controls on the american people while stirring up anti-american hatred so the terrorism continues with the drone strikes.
