Everyone can see I complained a few years ago about Joels Davidi. I have recently stumbled across more evidence that he does, in fact, subscribe to Rabbinic Judaism and is not Peshat-true (with regards to the written Torah) as he insisted (see attached photo where Shawn Lichaa tells Davidi Unfortunately (or Praise Hashem) your Shavuot and our Shavuot is the same this year (aviv aside), otherwise I would encourage you to visit us.). Moreover, I detest that any Jew who claims to follow the written Torahs straightforward meaning (as Davidi has stated about himself) would misrepresent themselves. In Davidis case, he has told the chief Samaritan scholar (and who knows how many other individuals) that he was a member of the Qaraite Community (`Eda), which was a total lie, and the Torah forbids lying to others (see Wayiqra/Lev 19:11). I would cut him slack if he had lied in order to escape some danger to his life, but that was never the case for him. And as much as I may seem heartless, this needs to be stated -- any identity issues he might have had that led him to utter such a falsehood do not excuse this sort of behavior.
