The rhythmic power of all the chants we do in class, as well as the obvious playing of early childhood percussive instruments, helps our percussionists learn how to keep a steady beat AND keep complex rhythms going simultaneously; essential skills for all the budding drummers out there. The group singing develops the aural abilities and the movement allows your child to express themselves i.e. feeling the music. Music uses both sides of the brain simultaneously because it requires both a creative (right hand side) and logical (left hand side) approach for optimum results. AND it is fun!
