Everyone finally learned to sing: a poem by Kevin James Miller 1. In the stable of trickery the Pharaohs unfold; Their music bleeds from their ears, an insane thunder from countless war crimes; They eat the bread and leave us the mold; They gas the puppet and tell of his life and times. 2. I am the thief, I am the dancer, and I am the surgeon with the invisible scalpel; There is a magic in their sadness, and a sandwich in their old stories; I will write one thousand poems and hide them in a chapel; The sneezing skinny girl bores us with tales of her loves and glories. 3. I can fly, I am invisible, and I can lift this mansion with one hand; It’s bad or good luck that I have landed on a world where everyone can do the same thing; It’s a world where you need to make a up a story about pixies and screwdrivers to get a passport to a new land; Everyone eats, everyone lives, and everyone loves, because everyone finally learned to sing. 4. The horses are made of mirrors and amble along the black sun. Let us all ride all the bullets that shoot from my magical nothingness gun. - Friday, March 28, 2014
