Everyone has a favorite song in their lifetime. In 1979 or so, I spent a lot of time with Jerry Jeff Walker or Scamp or Bucky Buck as I called him. At the time I was a DJ in various bars in Austin. I truly believe that this is one of the best songs ever written and I loved JJ for it. From the Viva Terlingua album. JJ and I became friends thru my brother John Ingle who engineered around 5 albums for him. I guess JJ and I became friends because we were both going thru dark times together. That was an act of a truly great friend.
