Everyone hates gold (or most metallics) but the key is the base coat. Youre going to affect the final shade/tone of the gold/silver/copper/bronze by the base coat. I wanted an almost pure yellowish/gold so I simply laid down yellow first, then gold. The other way Ive done different shades was laying my base coat then actually mixing a ratio of the color with the metallic and it mutes the metallic finish a bit. Play around and test on paper or beaters to find the exact color you want. *This tip brought to you by Cherrios*
