Everyone is blowin up the newsfeed with Tony Stewart bashing..... And all I can think to myself is.....So much opinion....... So little knowledge.. Before people jump to conclusions and assume a bunch of shit, I wish they had a little common sense, and knowledge of how a particular machine operates, Im no Tony Stewart fanboi, but racing is dangerous, and its made exponentially more dangerous when youre pissed off acting like a 2 year old child.... Everyone saying that Tony Stewart was showing his ass and hit him on purpose... Be real... The man had too much to lose to be a fool, and hes obviously not in sprints for the money... had he blipped the throttle because he was pissed off, the tire spin would have been obvious in the video, and his car would have followed the inertia of centrifugal force, and slid out, not down track... The movement of the car was caused by the impact of Stewarts car hitting the other driver, (yes it would cause that much movement...these things are 7??-9??HP Chromoly Go-karts) yet none of which would have happened if he had followed the rules and stayed inside if his car.... as for everyone who says that he was going too fast under caution, you obviously have ZERO knowledge of how a sprint car is set up, first off, he was half a lap into a caution... Those of you who claim to be racers know that in the midst of that rush.. The caution is the last thing that you wanna see, and Id be willing to bet 0 of you have mashed the brakes at the first sight of the yellow, choosing to let off and naturally decel with compression braking, and maintain position for as long as possible, not to mention that sprint cars are direct drive....they have one rno selectable gearing, their wheel/vehicle speed is directly dependant on engine speed, and they idle around 40MPH... This is why they are maneuvered around by a push truck until its time to race... They are also designed to be navigated around the track by throttle control using tire speed VS ground speed, they utilize 2 significantly different diameter tires on the rear locked together by a spool causing them to naturally be driven in a circle with one front wheel off the ground (under power) and the other mostly there for stability in the straights.. The deceased driver knew that they are all but impossible to navigate at slow speeds, and lost his head, he jumped out of his car to show his ass to someone more prevalent, and famous than he, and to bow his chest out and scratch the ground, strutting around to another hot-head, he miscalculated the giant ass tire coming at him, and it cost him his life.
