Everyone keeps asking me for updates on Carson so Ill tell you what I can. His chest was closed a few days after surgery but he is still on the ventilator and has pretty much been sedated since the surgery on the 3rd. He did well right after surgery but a few days after, his right lung partially collapsed in the lower quadrant and it is keeping him from being able to be weaned from the ventilator. He does not do well awake on the vent as he was off of it for so long; he fights it and is very uncomfortable with it in because he now knows that is not normal. The older and bigger he gets the more aware he is of everything happening to him and he is having a rough time. The goal right now is to get his lung opened back up and our hope is with that lung open we will be able to rapidly wean on the vent and get him off of it. Needless to say Carson still needs all your prayers, he is still fighting and fighting hard, I just know God has a plan for my baby boy but its still extremely hard to see him struggling. Praying endlessly.
