Everyone knows how postal votes work and how much feasible it is in our country... ....even after 66 yrs of Independence, why Indian soldiers are still deprived of their voting rights ? Isnt it possible for the EC or/and Govt. of India to introduce #absentee_ballot or/and #internet_voting ? EC should keep it in mind that when they claims of peaceful poll & approves of reaching the remotest location for poll; the soldiers in the borders, in the Siachen Glacier also those who were guarding the poll booths & high profile politicians are kept aside from voting and its quantity amounts to be over 14 lakhs. Countries like US, UK, France, Estonia, Switzerland allows their citizen to vote via internet since 2001, or even they can vote via SMS (it may sound shocking but its true). Estonia allows their voters to cast their vote in local and parliamentary elections, via the Internet, as they have an e-voting system. Many Indians will ask how is it possible? So here it is- Most of the Estonians carry a national identity card equipped with a computer-readable microchip and it is these cards which they use to get access to the online ballot. All a voter needs is a computer, an electronic card reader, their ID card and its PIN, and they can vote from anywhere in the world. Cant EC or/and Govt. of India do this much for our soldiers only ? I would like to quote here what NaMo says- ...musibatein hongi, kathinaiyaa hongi... lekin uske samadhan v nikaley jaa saktey hai.... magar samadhan nikalne k liye iraadein hone chahiye.... aur mein waadein nahi iraadein lekar aaya hu...
