Everyone please remember that DUI checkpoints are unconstitutional! You do not have to get out of your car. You do not have to submit to a breathalyzer. You do not have to answer any questions. If an officer comes up your window at a checkpoint, pull out your phone and start recording. Crack your window the minimum amount to be able to hear the officer, then tell the officer that you do not submit to the checkpoint because it violates your Constitutional rights and then say nothing more. The officer may threaten you, but do not give in to the intimidation. At this stage of the stop, the cops are the ones acting outside of law, and you are simply asserting your rights.
