Everyone please stop and read this wonderful thing that happened to me today..... So I was leaving my last stop, heading back to the house after work today when I passed by a house that was being evicted. The police were there and the lady was quite traumatized. To tell the truth my first instinct was to stop and see if they would pay for my help. So I stopped in front of the house. As I was walking up the officer stopped me and asked what I wanted. I told him that I was a mover and I only wanted to find out if the people wanted to hire me to help them get the stiff they wanted. The officer said to hold on, then he preceded to make the lady vacate the house. As the cops left I started talking with the lady about the job and I noticed that she had tubes sticking out of her shirt and she was having a hard time breathing. That was when she told me she had cancer and she was just coming back from treatment when she found her entire house thrown on the yard. I asked where she was wanting to put the stuff and how much of it was going. She said just the couch and a few totes. she said she would pay me fifty dollars to drive them to the storage unit two miles down the street. I told her okay and started going through the stuff. The main thing was the couch. It was one of those big seven piece sectional deals. My work requires me to look at every piece that I put on the truck. When I did with the sofa I seen some spiders and I had to tell her that I couldnt put it on my truck. She was crying and praying, begging me to help her. I told her there was nothing I could do. So I left. I turned out of the neighborhood and git about two miles away from the house when something inside me said what are you doing franki. So I turned around and went back. She was sitting under a tree sobbing. I jumped out the truck and told her not to worry. I said that I wasnt going to leave her stranded like this. So by myself I picked up the sofa all the totes all of her clothes her sons sports stuff and whatever else she wanted and took it all to the storage unit. Theres something special about doing the right thing. Thank you Brett Lehmberg Debra Sobotor Miller and Willie Sammons for giving me the opportunity to be in a position to help this wonderful lady. My prayers go out to you Danielle and your entire family.
