Everyone remembers where they were, what they were doing, who they - TopicsExpress

Everyone remembers where they were, what they were doing, who they were talking to. Everyone was devastated; if not by the loss of the love of their life or a family member or a close friend; it was so many innocent lives: firemen, policemen and first responders whose lives could obviously never be replaced. Maybe it was a distant friend, or a former coworker, or a distant cousin through marriage (who also happened to be a first responder). We all lost something - many lost a hell of a lot more than others - but WE SURVIVED. Thank you to those who ran towards danger and death and destruction, when it made more sense to just run away. Thank you to those who, because of that day, decided they would join a service, because it was what they just had to do. God bless the soldiers who fought, and continue to fight today, to protect the freedoms that were so very threatened that day. And God bless the 3000 souls we lost. May they rest in peace. And God Bless America!
