Everyone seems to have the bible all figured out now, and I tend to agree, it makes a lot more sense when seen not so much as Gods word to men, but the other way around. Still, my mind is full of 40+ years worth of garbage. Even as I tried to experience a real relationship with God, now seeing all humanity as included and created in love, no longer looking down my nose at those I had deemed infidels and evil in my mind. Every time somebody comes at me with that old time scary religion I have to second guess myself. Not that its believable to me, just dealing with all the brainwashing is as good as some kind of eternal conscious torment to me. If I grew up in Afghanistan the bible would probably be looked at as the devil, and fair enough look at all the damage its done. Nobody who wants to believe the bible really considers that, people who grow up in Islamic societies are not allowed to read it. Millions upon millions of souls have perished since Jesus disappeared into the clouds. I cant equate book knowledge and reading to having a relationship with someone who has the ability to simply say hello no matter how I try. Sorry.
