Everyone, we have a huge praise! Our main Oncologist at UVA has called me. Due to the fact that the MRI done on Allan was compared to an old scan done in May, we are going to disregard the results as the comparison can not be considered accurate. There is however, the issue of the new fracture. It is believed that intense high radiation to that area of his back has a 50-60% chance of getting completely rid of that one tumor that has caused the fractures. Possible side effects, tired, damaged nerves, bowel damage, however the doctor does not think likely, etc. We are waiting to hear from the Doctor at MD Anderson as to what he thinks. Allan does not want to go this route as the tumor is shrinking, hence the idea that it should do no more damage. We do not know exactly when this new fracture happened however it does cause Allan pain. He is hopeful that this area will heal itself. The 3 other spots found on his spine are not ready to be labeled cancer. They are very tiny with no activity. Please be in prayer for us to be sensitive to Gods direction, and peace for Allan in regard to any decision that is made. We thank you all for walking this journey with us!
