Everything is possible to Him that believes. Before the invention of plane, it was thought that it was impossible to fly. People said that if God wanted men to fly, He would have given us wings. Even one of the inventors of plane, Wilber Wright said in 1901, two years before they invented the plane, that man will not fly for fifty years. The British parliament Committee in 1878 said Thomas Edison’s light bulb was unworthy of attention. Because they believed it was impossible. Henry Morton, President of the Steven’s Institute of Technology said in 1880 that the light bulb was a conspicuous failure. Today we have different types of bulbs. Because Thomas Edison believed it was possible. The president of the Michigan Saving Bank advised Henry Ford’s Lawyer not to invest in the Ford Motor Coy in 1903 saying “The Horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty, a fad”. But today automobile is more than available, because Henry Ford believed it was possible. Once upon a time Ken Olson said, “There is no reason any one would want computer in their home”. Ken Olson later became President, Chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp. Makers of big business mainframe computers. Lord Kelvin, Scottish mathematician and physician said, “Radio has no future” He was wrong. New times said, “A rocket will never be able to leave the earth atmosphere in 1936 they were also wrong. Albert Einstein in 1932 said “There is not the slightest indication that nuclear energy will be obtainable”, How wrong he was. Rutherford B. Hayes doubted the need of the telephone, when he said “It’s a great invention but who will want to use it anyway?” 1876. Mary Somerville said television won’t last; it’s a flash in pan, in 1948 but she later became the pioneer of radio & television educational broadcast. Darryl Zamick, once said “Television wont last because people will soon get tired of staring at a plywood box every night” but he later became a movie producer and owner of 20th century fox in 1946. Dr. Dionysus Larder, Professor of National philosophy and astronomy in University College of London (1793-1859) once said that train travel at high speed is impossible because passengers, unable to breathe will die of asphyxia” How blind he was. Lord Kelvin, said, “x-rays will prove to be a hoax” but it became possible. Understand that some times oppositions come as a result of Jealousy, envy and hatred. People tend to oppose whatever they do not understand. Keep faith, be strong and be resolute, dream big and believe in your dreams.
