Everything seems to be in order for our departure to the States, tomorrow morning. We just has a mini conference with those who will be at Moniques for Christmas Eve. Regine wanted to bring Foie Gras (to serve as an appetizer)...but Monique said, that it went largely uneaten last year. I couldnt believe it! So I counted his many total guests will be there and who do we know that loves Foie Gras. It was half of the guests. So I requested a reply by email (quickly) from the people who I dont know if they like it or not. Manfred and Clara answered immediately, but only to say they had not had any the previous year (but not because they didnt like it, there were just other things to eat, that they were more familiar with. They are both very much people of the world....so I am counting them in the YES column. Ultimately, it ended up being as I suspected, when Monique said people barely ate it....she meant, I (Monique) barely ate it. This was a strategy that Debbys mom, Resi would frequently use in the past....Never tell someone (I dont like it) instead....say that it is actually your husband, or others, who dont like a certain thing. Just remember that women are sneakier than men! HaHa! She couldnt say Jared doesnt like the Foie Gras...because I remember him being in love with it, at first bite! Ha! So, now in a few hours, when Regine gets back from work (around 12:30pm), We will go and buy our Foie Gras, and gift wrap it, so customs doesnt snatch it from us! This is all being done this way to avoid having Regine cooking in Moniques tiny kitchen while Monique is doing other cooking and prep of her own. 25 hours till liftoff, tomorrow. Yay!
