Everything that we do must be geared at relinking us with the greatness of our past. What we have to step out of, what we have to recover from, is the effects of the complete ghettoization of all aspects of our life. The point is step back onto the plane where remembrance is a permanent feature of our daily existence. Remembrance is active awareness, continuous celebration of our ancestors and their past achievements. Any schooling, any process of education which does not set us on this path is eventually acculturation. We must first be informed by our eons old sensibility and aesthetic, fundamental to our Africanness.
