Everytime I hear about a person dying from cancer, it takes me to - TopicsExpress

Everytime I hear about a person dying from cancer, it takes me to places in life of adversity that I constantly fight to overcome, and most likely will continue fighting for the rest of my life. I KNOW what Stuarts family is feeling right now. I KNOW what the last few weeks have been like as they watched Stuarts condition deteriorate. I KNOW what cancer does to a human body, and I KNOW the long lasting effects on those whom are involved. There is no formula, or anecdote, or quick healing scheme that a person who witnesses the demonic power of cancer first hand, can take to make the pain go away. Cancer is an age-old mystery that we cannot seem to get control of, yet it is one of the most prominent illnesses we have ever known. To me, it also represents a reminder that this life we have been blessed with is meant to be LIVED...to the fullest of ones desires and capabilities. Cancer carries a message with it. It carries a message of humility that we as people need to never lose track of. Be grateful enough to LIVE your life, yet HUMBLE enough to appreciate it. Stuart Scott not only LIVED his life, but he permanently CHANGED countless others for the better. #saluteStuartScott
