Everytime I think to myself, life cant possibly get any busier, it - TopicsExpress

Everytime I think to myself, life cant possibly get any busier, it gets even more busy!!! Two new normal weve had to get used to within only 16 months. The first one was Micah, and the second one was Brianna getting married and moving 6 hours away! Where one could be looked at as a tragedy and the other as a blessing.....only by Gods grace and mercy are we able to call both a blessing. HE is full of compassion and mercy. James 5:11 Micah confirms that every day. Better is one day in HIS court than a thousand elsewhere. Micah has had an experience in HIS court and we are so privileged to be his parents and catch glimpses of that eternal glory, the real life, as Micah puts it. He still never says amen because the conversation with God never ends. Micah finishes my prayer by adding, Please, Lord, help us understand your power in us. God has promised us even more than His own Son. Hes promised us power through the Spirit - power that will help us do all that He asks of us. J. E. T. Micah tells us that he never goes to sleep at night, but to heaven to be with Jesus, to run, and move his legs. Often, at night, he asks me if there was anything I wanted him to ask Jesus for me? Yes,.....to please grant me a piece of heaven in my heart while still here on earth. In the morning, when getting Micah ready for the day, he would point out a worship song and say, We just sang that in heaven last night!! He also shared with us that using Gods name incorrectly, such as Oh my god saddens Him. Its like a child using his dads name Oh my dad without ever intending to talk to him. Micah, the one that could easily be discontent and angry, has become the one pointing us to Jesus every time we go in his room. How could anyone still say that there is no God? Physically, Micah has his ups and downs. No major progress. We were, graciously, given a trike and Micah is very determined to try to pedal with his right leg. The baclofen pump would help with that. That is still something we are considering. Concerning Micah, there is so much more we could be anxious about or waiting for.....thats why we, stone by stone....trust the pattern to the Designer! Josiah is back on the bike. He looks amazing, as if he had never missed a beat!! His shoulder is healed and his passion has grown. We enjoyed having him home, tho, lots of ping-pong practice for me!! Brianna is greatly missed by her little sisters. 6 hours to Charleston, SC, is faaaaaaar away!! Yet, she is only two hours away from Josiah!! What a tremendous blessing and comfort for us. God is always a step ahead, always knowing what we need before we even know we need it!!! You can trust God right now to supply all your needs for today. And if your needs are more tomorrow, His supply will be greater also. Needless to say, Shawn and I still have our moments when we look back and sadness wants to get a hold of us! We understand that learning from the past is useful, dwelling on the past is destructive. And thats why we have to encourage each other to keep heaven in our heart and on our mind, we will gain strength to handle life here and now, as we rest in the fact that Gods best is yet to come!
