Evidently I had met my match. My gallbladder was even more - TopicsExpress

Evidently I had met my match. My gallbladder was even more stubborn than me!! After years of it using every possible trick in the book to be set free, it finally used the ultimate skill....it got thick, swollen with stones and pretended to die. We fought an epic battle! Fifteen and a half years of this tug of rope back and forth. I did not mention this 24 hour fight to many people because like a bad joke everyone was tired of hearing my gallbladder stories. Since years of experience of working in ERs gave me an advantage over the gallbladder, I waited till 3:00 am to go to avoid hours of having folks watch my twist and writher in pain in my lobby chair. Plus you get the added bonus of seeing 57 nurses, ultrasound techs, doctors and residents. Finally one particular doctor had to deliver the news It has to come out ....today. My reply I have things to do today! Farewell old friend and adversary, you fought a great fight! (Ps...best quote from one of the multitude of doctors who ask me the same questions 1379 times, beginning with what is your name? While looking at my wrist band. Yes, I was tempted to answer Anastasia Beaverhousen . You are pretty healthy for fifty Brave man)
