Evil ~ EVIL*DOERS @ Lego >>> LEGO - not usually used in such a derogatory way!?! Well they have this line called MindStorm (which is about the state of my mind right now - ~~Stormin~~!) which is quite prominently advertised in their Lego.Club magazine. Now we have purchased & gifted & received our fair share of Lego Kits & even the free play builder Lego over many.many years but this series is cruelly & unusually attractive to Nick! ~WELL - thats all well & good - but he has already decided to put a particular MindStorm set on his Christmas wish list. A very small wish list - very realistic I thought (& Im fairly certain he thought so too ~ hes 8 & he just isnt in the know about most pricing of toys or even daily.daily purchases. I mean he will learn & well teach him but thats another story) & then I innocently looked it up online at our local Toy Store & HOLY*HECK>HECK xs like HOW MUCH!!!??? What the heck is Lego trying to do exactly? Now I see the appeal & get the intricacies of this particular type of building product & yet Im a tad bit dumbfounded..... Even if it were the only item on his wish list & it almost is... Given theres only 1 other item & that one is grounded in our reality of gifts & budgeting for the season. Im not sure wed be willing to inve$t in this unless it was a given that hed be using it for the next 15 years & it would help him get into a field of study where he could then develop the next series of exorbitantly & obscenely overpriced toys for the next & next.next generations to follow!?! & earn enough money to rival - say Lego Executives today & perhaps Steve Jobs or Bill Gates?!?
