Evolution, plain and simple. I get why farmers plant herbicide resistant crops, if I was I farmer Id love to get through with my work at a reasonable hour and home to enjoy the evening with the family. Id love my crops to yield more, and return more money. But seriously, now that the weeds are resistant to Roundup, you dont have to be brilliant to understand its just a matter of time before the weeds are resistant to the next chemical solution, Enlist, or whatever they euphemistically name the poisons as they become useless as well. In the meantime, BILLIONS of TONS of these chemicals are poured into our soils and water systems, and into the very air we breathe. Why do I hate GMO? Gee I wonder.
