Ex-Militants to Jonathan: Contest 2015 Election or Dont Return Home. Hmmm! Whao! Chai! Nigeria is speedily heading towards a failed state. We have become a state that is piloted by miscreants, charlatans and vagabonds. We have lost decorum, decency and are no longer restrained by moral principles. Now, the Niger Delta militants have assumed responsibility for setting national agenda! They have suddenly become the conscience of the nation. They have been economically empowered to dictate who must contest and/or win a presidential election. The big boys have received sufficient military capability to hold the nation to ransom. Maybe Odua Peoples Congress, OPC was wrong not to have insisted on a 3rd term for President Obasanjo. Maybe OPC was wrong not to have threatened Obasanjo with social sanction for failing to become life president. Maybe Obasanjo was equally wrong not to have empowered OPC. Maybe President Yar Adua erred to have initiated the amnesty program. Maybe the whole Northern elites were wrong not to have insisted on a President of northern extraction in 2011 after sudden demise of Yar Adua. Maybe Arewa Consultative Forum ACF was wrong not to have created and empower a militant wing. Maybe a strong OPC and ACF militants could be a check on Niger Delta militants. Maybe President Jonathan is smarter than Presidents Obasanjo and Yar Adua. Maybe the Ijaws are more intelligent than Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani. Maybe the Ijaws are more strategic than Igbos in secessionist theory. Maybe President Jonathan is guilty of conspiracy of silence. Maybe President Obasanjo made a mistake with lack of details on training of snipers. Maybe Niger Delta militants are major stakeholders in the disintegration agenda. Maybe Nigeria will survive all odds! Maybe not! Only time will tell. But, Nigeria belongs to all! No militant can hold the nation to ransom!
